Robert Jibby — Mobile POS Technologies
Owner, Mobile POS Technologies
Robert Jibby is the owner of Mobile POS Technologies and one of the most experienced point of sale specialists in the Pacific Northwest. With more than 30 years of combined experience in technology, sales, and customer support, and roots in the credit card processing industry, Robert brings a level of hands on expertise that is rare in this space.
Mobile POS Technologies has successfully deployed solutions in over 250 locations, with more than 500 mobile and cloud based restaurant POS stations installed across the Northwest and throughout the United States. That track record isn't built on sales pitches. It's built on a client first philosophy that prioritizes honest, ethical guidance over pushing products that don't fit.
Robert's entry into the mobile POS space came from a pivotal moment: watching an ineffective demonstration of early iPad based cloud POS software and recognizing he could do better. More than a decade later, that instinct has proven right. Mobile POS Technologies is recognized as a leading provider of mobile point of sale solutions known for setting a higher standard for customer education and support.
Velora Payments partners with Robert and Mobile POS Technologies to ensure our clients across Idaho, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Montana have access to the best POS expertise in the region, backed by someone who has actually installed and supported these systems hundreds of times.
Kobe
Alaska Field Technician
Kobe is a born and raised Alaskan and Velora's boots on the ground for POS installation and support across the state. For businesses in Alaska who need someone who can actually show up, Kobe is that person.
His path to POS technology is one of the more interesting ones you'll find. Raised in Alaska and spending summers working in his father's landscaping business, Kobe developed an early appreciation for hard work and showing up. After returning home to Alaska as an adult he pursued something that combined technical skill with genuine impact, completing night school HVAC training before joining a local union for plumbing and steamfitting. He spent years working in the infrastructure trades, understanding firsthand how critical it is to get technical systems right the first time.
During a slow season in plumbing, Kobe started bartending at a local event arena where he found himself spending more and more time setting up and troubleshooting POS systems at different events. What started as a side role became a genuine passion. He discovered that payment technology had the same appeal as infrastructure work, it is foundational, it has to work correctly, and when it does not, everything stops.
That combination of trades discipline, technical curiosity, and real world POS experience is what makes Kobe valuable to Velora clients in Alaska. He is not a salesperson who learned to install. He is a technically minded problem solver who understands how systems work and takes pride in making sure they run right.
For Velora clients across Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Wasilla, Kenai, and beyond, Kobe is the local presence that most merchant services companies operating in Alaska simply do not have.
